Schengen 90/180 calculator
Enter the dates you were in the Schengen area. The calculator counts the days in the 180-day period that ends on the date you are checking, then tells you how many of the 90 days remain, the earliest day you may be in the area again and how long you could then stay.
You may stay in the Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days in any 180-day period. The 180 days are not a calendar half-year: they are counted backwards from the day being checked, so the window moves with every day that passes.
- · The day you enter and the day you leave each count as a full day of stay. A trip from Friday to Sunday is three days, not two.
- · The allowance does not reset when you leave the area and come back. Days free up only as old days fall out of the back of the 180-day window.
- · If you hold a residence permit or a long-stay (D) visa from a Schengen state, the days you spend in that state do not use up the 90. Days in the other Schengen states still do.

The calculator applies the 90/180 rule of the Schengen Borders Code as our guides state it. Border authorities decide on the stamps and records in your passport, and special cases — a long-stay visa, a national visa, or the days of a previous permit — can change the count.
