Which permit does your salary reach?

Enter your gross monthly salary and see which of the 2026 thresholds it meets. Cash pay and fringe benefits are asked separately, because some thresholds do not count fringe benefits at all.

Finland has no single statutory minimum wage covering all employees. In many sectors the minimum is set by a universally binding collective agreement, which an employer must apply even without membership of an employers' organisation. The figures below are residence-permit and social-security thresholds — your sector's agreement can require more.

The gross amount paid in money, excluding fringe benefits.

    • Specialist permit and EU Blue CardAt least EUR 3,937 a month gross. Fringe benefits and per diems do not count toward it.
    • TTOL — the ordinary employee permitAt least EUR 1,600 a month gross in total. A higher collective-agreement minimum takes precedence.
    • Special routes where no collective agreement appliesAt least EUR 1,463 a month gross. Mass media, consultant, international organisation and similar routes.
    • Kela work-based coverAt least EUR 800.02 a month in earnings.
    • Unemployment work conditionA calendar month counts in full from EUR 930; EUR 465–929 counts as half a month.

A high salary alone does not make a route correct, and a low salary does not become valid by being written into a contract. If a universally binding agreement covers your sector, you cannot fall below its minimum even when the thresholds here are met.
